Do You Understand the Basics of All Good SEO
By TheGuide in Marketing | 0 comments
When I started my first website, I had no idea what was involved in good SEO. I knew I needed keywords and a lot of links, but the complicated math that Google and Yahoo! use to figure out how they rank their sites was confusing to me. So, I talked to my local Tampa website optimization friends and started outlining exactly what I needed to do to be successful in my endeavors.
I started by writing new web copy. My Tampa web marketing friends told me to take down everything I had written – a mish mash of useless facts and keywordless content – in favor of a shorter, more targeted page that contained necessary tags and keyword phrases.
Next, my Tampa search engine optimization friends told me how to start creating a website that would attract interest from people that would add links to me and from websites where I could submit content like YouTube, Blogger, and EzineArticles.
In less than three months my traffic quadrupled and that was only the beginning. Who knew that these simple little tasks could ultimately catapult me into the upper rankings for my niche and make me that much more money? Apparently anyone who knows anything about SEO.
