Plan an Office Halloween Party

Office parties are a great way to encourage team building and help employees to like working for you.  With Halloween quickly approaching, you have a great opportunity to plan a fun, successful office party.  Here are some tips for making your office’s Halloween party spook-tacular.

  1. Encourage every employee to wear an adult Halloween costume.  Just because people have grown up doesn’t mean they’ve grown out of dressing up for Halloween.  Plus, there are so many fun costumes available for adults: couples costumes, even sexy adult costumes for the more daring folk.  Plenty for your employees to choose from, no matter what their tastes!
  2. Decorate the office or store.  Most workplaces start decorating a few weeks before Halloween, and have the party a little bit early, since most employees will want to spend the actual holiday with their children and/or friends.  If you work in an office where everyone has their own workstation, you might think of having a Halloween decorating contest with prizes that will encourage everyone to participate.
  3. Play fun Halloween games at the party.  Bobbing for apples is tons of fun, especially if you get everyone a little tipsy first.  You could also have costume contests, decorating contests (as described above), pumpkin carving contests, or tell spooky stories.  For more ideas, check out this comprehensive list of Halloween party games.

Celebrating the holidays in the office or workplace is a great way to raise morale and keep your employees happy — but best of all, it’s a great way to have fun!
