Being a wedding planner is a great work-from-home job for many women.  The truth is, weddings are bigger and more elaborate than they were in the past.  Conversely women have less time than they did fifty years ago, because these days the vast majority of women have full-time careers (instead of time to keep house, make dowries, and plan weddings).  As a result, most women need help planning their weddings.

A wedding planner typically handles all the niggling little details, such as themes and decorations, wedding invitations and RSVPs.  For instance, if a bride wants a certain flower as a theme and invitations to match, it would be up to the wedding planner to hunt down a selection of tiger lily wedding invitations or white roses wedding invitations for the bride to choose from.

A wedding planner is typically someone who loves planning big fancy events like weddings, can deal with the stress of managing a bunch of little tasks at once, and can keep track of everything well enough to make sure it all gets done.  However, a wedding planner can also enjoy working from home, making her own hours to a certain extent, and doing what she loves.
