Usually life as a freelance writer is a bit of a drag.  I mean, I never thought I’d be writing about cell phone networks instead of children’s fiction, but hey, you take what pays, right?  Anyway, I’m starting to feel a little bit better about my assignments this week, which include researching Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Coach bags (tough life, right?  That research will be just so awful) and the relevant outlets for them, and also writing a business pitch for a design company.  They sent me the designs for the pitch, and I am so intensely jealous of their client. 

They have this tiny little backyard that this company is turning into an Eden, with outdoor fireplaces, outdoor living spaces (including a daybed!  Hot!) and a bbq island.  I want it so badly now, I think I’m going to photocopy the designs and stash them for my own backyard one day.  I wonder if that is unethical.  To be honest, I’m not certain if I care whether it’s unethical or not, I’m in love, and that totally trumps reason.  I’m an underpaid writer; I have to take it where I can get it!  If that includes slightly unethical behavior, so be it.
